Our Riding Facility

Horseback riding lessons and horsemanship classes are taught by our licensed and insured instructor, Clarice Wigsten. Epona operates out of a beautiful barn in Seekonk, MA. The property boasts 22 acres, 40 stalls, a 260x100 indoor arena with brand new GGT footing, an enormous glass viewing room, 100 x 75 outdoor arena, tack rooms, kitchen, dry and grass paddocks, trail access, pond and so much more!

Riding School Options

First Time Riding

For first time horseback riders, ages 7 and up, the first lesson is an hour long to ensure there is plenty of time to go over safety skills both on the ground and in the saddle, basic horsemanship skills, and your goals as a rider. After the first introductory lesson, new students may take 45 minute private lessons where they are offered assitance catching, tacking, and untacking their mount before and after the lesson.

Epona also offers a Tiny Trotters program for children ages 4-6 years old. Tiny Trotter lessons are 1/2 hour.

Returning to Riding

As a returning horseback rider, the first lesson is an hour long to ensure there is plenty of time to review safety skills both on the ground and in the saddle, basic horsemanship skills, and your goals as a rider. After the first introductory lesson, new students may choose to take 45 minute private lessons or 1/2 hour private lessons. 45 mintue lessons include assitance catching, tacking, and untacking their mount before and after the lesson. 1/2 hour lessons require that the student is independent and can arrive early and stay later to catch, tack, cool down, and untack their mount.

Horse Owner

Epona Equine Eventing offers both exercise rides and training rides for the horse owners. On a limited basis, Epona Equine Eventing also offers training board for horses that need a comprehensive approach. Please feel free to inquire for details!
